Veterinarian
40 hour work week
Consistent schedule, every other Saturday off.

We are looking for a hardworking, client-focused, full-time veterinarian to support the growth of our clinics. AMCMA is part of the Humane Society of Missouri, which has operated a public veterinary practice since 1920. Our AAHA-accredited veterinary hospitals offer digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, therapeutic laser, endoscopy, full-service dentistry, and a complete range of soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries. Our Maryland Heights location also offers rehabilitation services. Both practices are certified Feline Friendly Practices, and we are working toward practice level Fear Free Certification by the end of the 2019. AMCMA performs the surgical procedures for animals at the Humane Society of Missouri shelters prior to their availability for adoption. This makes AMCMA the perfect blend of private practice and non-profit practice!

We offer a generous salary and benefits package including:

  • Base salary starting at $70,000-80,000 and up, based on experience.
  • Commission paid in addition to base salary.  Accrued every four weeks equaling the difference between the base salary and 21% of production.  When daily production exceeds $2000/day gross, commission rate will be paid at 25%.
  • Target 75% base, 25% commission (Annually re-evaluate base salary to increase based on previous year’s production).

  • Continuing education expenses & CE paid time off, based on years out of school.  
  • Missouri Veterinary License, DEA and Missouri Controlled Substance License paid.

Clinic Assistant

Do you have veterinary hospital experience? Our Maryland Heights and our St. Louis City locations have openings for a clinic assistant. This position plays an integral role in assisting the veterinary staff and technicians in the clinical/surgical treatment of animals. Animal handling/restraining experience, experience in a veterinary hospital setting, ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships, and maintain a positive and professional public image at all times are requirements of this position. Must have excellent customer service and team skills and be able to work well in a fast paced environment. Must be available to work on Saturdays.

Registerd Veterinary Technician

Our Maryland Heights location is currently looking to fill an opening for a Integrated Veterinary Pain Management Center RVT. This full time position will work under the supervision of a staff Veterinarian in the Integrated Pain Management Center. The person in this role will be responsible for preparation of treatment rooms for animal exams, performing physical therapies, assisting with chiropractic treatments (under the direction of a licensed chiropractor), recording of measurement data for Stance Analyzer, Infrared Camera, Gait Analysis and Goniometer, as well as preparation of medication and equipment for treatment. Qualified candidates should have an Associate's degree or equivalent from two year/tech school, current veterinary technician license, with rehabilitation experience or CCRP preferred. Registered Veterinary Technician

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual that possesses knowledge of animal health care, animal restraint techniques and surgery preparation, in addition to being detail-oriented, and having excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. A commitment to client education and communication is required for this position. This position assists veterinarians in animal restraint and dispensing of surgical equipment, lifts animals to weigh for medications/anesthetics, preps animals for treatment and/or surgery, maintains medical records, monitors anesthetic procedures, administers and dispenses medications, applies splints/bandages and cleans/disinfects medical and surgical equipment. The ideal candidate will also be excellent at maintaining strong working relationships with coworkers and customers and maintaining a positive and professional public image at all times. This individual should have animal handling/restraining experience and experience in a veterinary hospital setting. Customer Service Representative

Our St. Louis City location seeks to fill a customer service position in our busy full-service veterinary clinic. Duties include but are not limited to: assisting our customers with scheduling patient appointments, checking clients in upon arrival, cashier duties, taking messages, notifying staff of emergencies, referring calls to other departments as necessary, maintaining accurate records in databases, maintaining client and patient confidentiality of information, answering questions relating to veterinary procedures, and general animal health care. Customer Service Representatives are expected to be able to direct questions to our medical team (assistants, licensed technicians, or veterinarians), as needed. Previous customer service experience required; call center and animal health knowledge preferred. Must be available Saturdays and early evenings.
