Five Years of the Best Buddy Center in Maryland Heights!

Posted In: News Updates

It’s hard for us to believe it’s already been five years since our Best Buddy Center opened in Maryland Heights! In April 2017 the doors officially opened on our new state-of-the-art facility, encompassing both the Humane Society shelter portion, and our AMCMA veterinary clinic- featuring our first Integrated Veterinary Pain Management Center!

The two-story, 44,000 square foot, $16 Million complex is located at the intersection of Page Avenue and Schuetz Road in Maryland Heights and upon its opening set a new standard in the care and rehabilitation of abused, neglected, and abandoned companion animals. The clinic portion includes the latest technology, such as digital imaging and laser treatment devices, two surgical suites, a triage and treatment center for rescued and injured animals, as well as the Pain Management Center- one of only a few centers of its kind in the United States, although our Macklind clinic location is now outfitted with its own Pain Center as well!

The Best Buddy Center allowed AMCMA to expand our regional footprint to care for patients further out into the Western and Northern parts of the St. Louis metro area. We have several patients both in the clinic and the Pain Management Center who began coming to us when our Maryland Heights facility opened who are still coming to us for top-notch veterinary care. The Pain Management Center has truly opened up a world of possibilities for pet owners to improve the quality of life for their four-legged friends, including increased mobility and energy, easing of chronic pain, and often even extending a pet’s natural lifespan. Treatments offered such as laser therapy, chiropractic, underwater treadmills, platelet-rich plasma therapy, nutrition counseling, and more can help you get the most out of the time you have with your pet.

These past five years have flown by, doing what we do best- providing top-notch care for your pets!
