Since today, July 22, is AAHA-Accredited Hospital Day, this is a perfect opportunity to talk about what this title means and why we’re so proud to hold it.
So, what is the AAHA?
The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) is a non-profit animal welfare organization that specializes in establishing and promoting the standards by which veterinary hospitals should operate and be evaluated by. AAHA-accredited hospitals take many extra steps to ensure their team is providing the best, most consistent, companion animal care.
AAHA is the only organization to accredit companion animal veterinary hospitals. To become AAHA accredited, practices undergo regular, comprehensive onsite evaluations by AAHA veterinary experts who evaluate each practice on more than 900 standards of veterinary care.
Due to these high-quality standards of care and patient treatment, only around 15% of veterinary practices in the United States and Canada
