Doctor of Veterinary Medicine – St. Louis City
Dr. Nelson is from St. Louis, Missouri and graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia Vet School in 2001. She has worked as a veterinarian in small animal private practice and in the shelter setting.
She became a vet because she likes to take care of animals, and she came to AMCMA because she wanted a vet clinic with a community atmosphere that allowed her to focus on medicine.
Dr. Nelson has two senior sibling cats, a Tortie named Tsarina Anastasia and an orange Tabby named Nicholas the Ridiculous. She also shares her home with a German Shepherd Mix named Oomi.
In her spare time, Dr. Nelson likes to read fantasy and mysteries, gardening, swimming, walking the dogs, traveling, and cross stitch.
