We are fortunate to have multiple veterinarians who are capable of performing a wide range of veterinary orthopedic procedures. Our facilities are out fitted with the same high quality state of the art technology that specialty practices use, which allows us to bring in a board-certified veterinarian to perform your pet’s surgery should the situation call for it.
Orthopedic procedures affect the muscles, joints and /or bones of your pet’s body. Orthopedic surgery can be used to treat the following common issues, among many others:
- Luxating patella
- Bone fractures
- Cranial cruciate ligament repair
- FHO (femoral head and neck ostectomy)
- TPLO
These procedures are more complex in nature and also require additional recovery for your pet.  Rest assured, should your best friend require one of these procedures, not only is your AMCMA veterinarian capable of performing surgery, but your pet will also receive the best nursing care while hospitalized following surgery. We specialize in pain control on par with those used in human orthopedic surgeries. AMCMA will be there for each step of your pet’s recovery process to help ensure that she is back to being able to enjoy things that they did before surgery.
Due to the complex nature of orthopedic surgeries and the fact that our medical and surgical care are tailored to the individual needs of your pet, we generally require having your pet examined by one of our doctors to ensure that the estimate for the procedure is as accurate as we can make it.
