Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Originally from southeast Iowa, Dr. Bailie Kruse earned her veterinary degree from University of Missouri in 2018 after her bachelor of science from Western Illinois University.
She has loved caring for animals ever since she was a child and dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. Her professional interests include shelter medicine, high-volume spay/neuter, animal behavior, and access-to-care work.
She chose AMCMA because it gives her another opportunity to provide spay/neuter services to shelter animals in St. Louis. (She works full time at another local animal shelter and wants to help as many animals as possible find their forever homes!)
In her spare time, she enjoys camping, hiking, crocheting, and spending time with her husband and all of their four-legged fur children. They have many pets at home, including dogs, cats, birds, and a pet snake.
